Maths and English Tests
What to expect:
The Prison Officer Selection Tests are a job-specific measure of Maths and English skills.
Maths - 20 minutes
The Maths test measures the following:
- Counting
- Addition
- Subtraction
- Multiplication
- Division
- Reading and working with numerical information on graphs/tables
- Calculating percentages
- Calculating ratios
English - 30 minutes
The English test measures the following:
- Reading and understanding written information
- Completing standard forms
- Checking for errors/discrepancies in information
- Applying rules
- Reporting information
- Writing
