The Role

We’re recruiting for an Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Service Operations team.

This role aligns against IT Service Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework.

The ITAM Analyst will contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality Asset, Configuration and Licence Management Service. They will carry out data analysis to enable us to assure quality, compliance and accuracy of data as well as the performance of our internal and external supplier delivering services to ensure that all service level targets are achieved or surpassed. Essential to your success will be the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a variety of suppliers, both internal and external, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external asset enquiries, handling enquiries in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are monitored and met.
  • Work with tools and technologies as required to support the tracking of Assets.
  • Contribute to the identification of improvement opportunities which would benefit the team and the wider organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to support effective communication mechanisms collaborating between internal and external stakeholders participating in workshops, where appropriate.
  • Ensure process, procedure and work instruction documentation is up-to-date and followed.
  • Coordinate the production of weekly / monthly / ad hoc, reports ensuring accuracy, consistency and standardisation.
  • Support the monitoring and optimisation activities for Software and Hardware assets, including re-harvest of unused accounts to drive down cost and mitigate any risk.
  • Support the upload of asset data from stakeholders to ensure quality assurance is conducted, maintaining the accuracy of the CMDB.
  • Support activities: Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) to deliver key efficiencies, ensuring processes are’ fit for purpose’.
  • Support audit activities both within the CMDB and physical.
  • Carry out day to day management of the Software Licence renewal Tracker, supporting renewal and new demand requests.
  • Manage and fulfil a variety of Service Requests including bulk uploads for asset/CI data and Software licences.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience working in Software Asset Management.
  • Asset and configuration management – You can track, log and correct information to protect assets and components.
  • User focus – You can identify and engage with users or stakeholders to collate user needs evidence. You understand and define research which fits user needs. You are able to use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user focus into outcomes.
  • Service management framework knowledge – You have, or are working towards a Level 3 Service Management Framework qualification.
  • Relationship management - You can identify important stakeholders and relationships and work with teams to build these. You understand how to work with stakeholders and contribute to improving these relationships.
  • Service Reporting – You can produce the relevant reports in a standard format in an agreed timeframe. You can work with key stakeholders to discuss any changes in the reporting processes. You are able to add a commentary that provides an interpretation for the data set.
  • Business analysis (IT operations) – You can contribute to the recommendation of improving processes and understand the importance of evidence-based design or analysis.
  • Ownership and initiative - You can own an issue until a new owner has been found or the problem has been mitigated or resolved.

You will be required to meet the requirements for SC clearance.

Security Clearance (SC)
