The Role

We’re recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative End User Compute Services team.

We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who’ll enjoy working in a delivery focused, agile environment with multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to our Agile Delivery community and share your skills and experiences with others across the MoJ, and wider government departments.

You’ll get support from your people manager, delivery manager peers, the wider delivery community and from formal learning opportunities to develop in this role.

Some of the exciting areas the Technology Estate Delivery Team has worked on:

  • The MoJ Justice Digital team is made up of around 1200 digital and technology specialists, located throughout the UK. Our vision is a digitally enabled end-to-end justice system which can adapt and respond to changing needs.
  • The Technology team within Justice Digital is responsible for all infrastructure, end user computing, onsite support and delivery of technology projects. It has responsibility for 95,000 devices and infrastructure across 900+ sites.
  • The Estate Delivery Team supports our Estate Directorates work across the MOJ family varying from small office moves to larger relocations, new builds and site disposals. The team also support Technology services owners by providing Delivery Resources to support their projects.
  • Reporting to the Delivery Lead this role forms part of the senior leadership team where you will support the DL in setting the strategic direction for the delivery team and the services it provides.
  • We use a combination of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Profession Capability Framework for the Senior Delivery Manager role to assess technical skills, and the Civil Service Success Profiles Behaviours needed to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a senior delivery manager you’ll be able to deliver complex, high-risk technology projects and services, such as devices, applications, infrastructure and Microsoft 365.
  • You will have strong communication skills and engage with senior stakeholders.
  • You’ll have experience across a range of products and services, throughout the entire lifecycle, and have greater responsibility and accountability as the main point of escalation.
  • You’ll be experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting and continuously improving products of significant scale and complexity.
  • You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining and motivating teams; protect the team and make sure the team collaborates to focus on what is most important.
  • You’ll coach team members and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement in the team. You will proactively manage dependencies and risks to overcome obstacles to delivery.
  • You’ll be an active part of the broader delivery management community in Technology Services and MoJ Digital, receiving and providing coaching and mentoring, and will also have the chance to participate in informal support networks with peers.

Security Clearance (SC)
