To work on high profile volume recruitment campaigns such as prison officer recruitment.

Purpose

The post holder is responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment marketing campaigns across the wider MoJ group in support of organisation specific resourcing needs e.g. high-volume recruitment.

They will take a leadership role in developing an effective marketing solution, following Government Communications Service (GCS) standards and practice, to get the right number of candidates of the right profile at the right time.

Responsibilities

  • To work closely with HR colleagues to ensure the provision of a seamless and joined up end to end recruitment service to the business area.
  • Liaison with Resourcing Account Managers, communications/marketing, commissioning and other Resourcing Delivery Leads on commission triaging resourcing requests.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and pipelining to ensure that the business area talent is fit to meet future challenges.
  • Review, evaluation and continuous improvement of resourcing campaigns to maximise benefits and value.

Recruitment Marketing Specifics

  • Develop branding, messaging, content development and advise on channel and media selection for campaigns and work with the data team to continuously monitor and evaluate to support specific business needs.
  • Take lead role in setting marketing and communications strategy with news, campaigns and internal communications teams.
  • Lead on the procuring, commissioning and setting standards with partner agencies.
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders, partners and third parties to help develop marketing solutions to solve recruitment challenges.
  • Working with stakeholders, partners, HR resourcing and data colleagues to develop insight, set objectives and monitor recruitment activity campaign by campaign.
  • Advise on campaign strategies and build communications and marketing solutions that work in a competitive context and with a variety of communications channels and disciplines.
  • Manage the MoJ employer brand, ensuring all campaigns reflect MoJ employer brand proposition

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

  • Degree level education in related field or related equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of GCS standards and practice. In particular, working with agencies and using insight to develop effective marketing strategies.
  • High level communication (verbal/written) able to build effective working relationships with a variety of internal/external service users, stakeholders and partners and respond in a timely manner to specific requests i.e. Parliamentary Questions (PQs).
  • Ability to demonstrate strong influencing skills and resilience in challenging situations
  • Ability to manage a number of tasks within set deadlines, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experienced in marketing (customer-driven activity to attract quality candidates at volume) and has excellent understanding and skills in all communications disciplines.

Working Arrangements & Further Information

Some of MoJ’s terms and conditions of service are changing as part of Civil Service reform. The changes will apply to staff joining MoJ who are new to the Civil Service. Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto the new MoJ terms if they are already on 'modernised' terms in their current post or onto 'unmodernised' MoJ terms if they are on 'unmodernised' terms at their current post.
