The Role

We’re recruiting for a Business Change and Deployment Manager here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Prison Delivery team.

We’re looking for talented and tenacious people to join our Prison Delivery team to take the lead in creating world-class services within the justice system. We use cutting-edge agile software development approaches to make rapid but meaningful improvements to public services that live up to the unique challenges of MOJ's responsibility to society.

This is a vital role within the Justice Digital & Technology function, which is key to the delivery of business change into challenging operating environments. As an IT professional you will contribute to the deployment of new technology and provide ongoing user support and ICT experience enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring project deadlines and objectives are met by working with the Lead Associate Delivery Manager whilst applying an Intelligent customer function as standard.
  • Providing on-site support during high intensity roll out periods, to include floorwalking, training and troubleshooting.
  • Communicating to stakeholders and users effectively in order to facilitate new technology programme roll outs and ongoing use of specific ICT systems.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, adapt and implement governance and assurance processes.
  • Proactively manage dependencies or working to eliminate them, overcome obstacles and getting the best value against constraint.
  • Adapt to variations in work or environment, be flexible and versatile and act as an advocate for change.
  • Identifying and responding to opportunities for providing improved services to the business organisation and proactively utilise resources to enhance the customer ICT experience.
  • Undertaking and communicating benefits realisation for all business change implementation.
  • Communicate complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate discussion within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to help business process mapping for new systems to take place.
  • Populating and providing reports with data as required
  • You will gain an understanding of, and experience of working in HMPPS Operations and environments i.e. the activities, structures, and position in the organisation of the teams or departments for which services are provided.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Knowledge of Project Delivery.
  • Possess strong communications, relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • You have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be IT literate with good knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Stakeholder Management experience.
  • Knowledge of ‘Agile’ delivery of IT services and Prince2 or capable of working within these methodologies.

Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for SC clearance.

You will be required to travel to establishments throughout England and Wales during deployment implementation, this will result in periods of overnight stays away from home.

Security Clearance (SC)
