We are currently undertaking a first-of-its-kind Change Programme aimed at delivering pioneering judicial services that better serve the public, and with over £1 Billion of funding this is the most ambitious programme of its kind anywhere in the world.

The key purpose of this role is to:

  • Implement and utilise processes to ensure that all programme recruitment requirements are effectively identified, tracked and fulfilled to ensure the success of the Change Programme.
  • Build a quality relationship with internal customers and external partners to deliver the best results for the business.
  • Monitor and review the recruitment process, suggesting evidence-based improvements to guarantee value for money for the taxpayer.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding life-cycle.
  • Monitor the delivery of campaigns against plans, chasing and challenging progress as appropriate.
  • Assist the Recruitment Manager with drafting documentation and reports, and preparing procedure and guidance documentation.
  • Working with the Programme/Project Manager(s) to support resourcing risks and issues.
  • Support the Recruitment Manager to ensure effective recruitment and on-boarding plans are developed and delivered.

Analysis

  • Develop and manage an aggregated view of delivery performance, resources and costs.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reports for senior management.
  • Assist the Recruitment Manager to create, roll out and embed an off-boarding process.
  • Reviewing existing processes and making evidence based proposals for changes and improvements.

Communicating with Stakeholders

  • Be responsible for liaising with recruiting managers to arrange stages of the recruitment process and provide progress updates.
  • Collaborate with workstreams to engage and identify improved ways of working which benefit teams and departmental priorities.
  • Encourage feedback from a wider range of sources and customers to help inform decision making and improved ways of working.

Team Leadership

  • Line Manage a Band D and encourage their professional development.

Accountability

  • Reporting to the Recruitment Manager

Working Arrangements & Further Information

Some of MoJ’s terms and conditions of service are changing as part of Civil Service reform. The changes will apply to staff joining MoJ who are new to the Civil Service. Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto the new MoJ terms if they are already on 'modernised' terms in their current post or onto 'unmodernised' MoJ terms if they are on 'unmodernised' terms at their current post. Details will be available if an offer is made.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
