You will be responsible for the creative and technical output of the video and photography team providing services across government.       VIDEO MANAGER

      Main responsibilities will include:

      • Lead and inspire a team of videographers and photographers upholding high standards of technical skills and creative ability
      • Supporting and developing the team managing performance
      • Shoot and edit studio and location footage as required
      • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
      • Prepare quotes and schedules for client approval, liaising with the videographers and other colleagues as necessary
      • Meet clients for briefings making technical recommendations and presenting ideas for approval or development
      • Discuss work schedules and status knowledgeably and confidently
      • Project Manage the production process from start to finish: conceptualizing, coordinating, shooting and editing to final product delivery ensuring that the outputs meet client needs and budget
      • Manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail and deadlines
      • Continuously evaluate and refine the approach, technology and method of production

      Experience and Personal Skills:

      • Degree (or equivalent) in media production, film production, performing arts or other related subject or equivalent practical on the job experience
      • Experience in digital video production with a thorough understanding of budgets, production and timeframes
      • Proficient in using video cameras to shoot footage as well as setting up equipment such as lighting and backdrops
      • Excellent video editing skills with working knowledge of creative software including Adobe Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro CC and After Effects
      • Proven management and leadership skills
      • Knowledge of the commercial trends in interactive media such as special effects, sound and animation
      • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
      • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs and be able to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines
      • Good commercial awareness to monitor cost effectiveness of in-house service delivery

      Some of MoJ’s terms and conditions of service are changing as part of Civil Service reform. The changes will apply to staff joining MoJ who are new to the Civil Service. Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto the new MoJ terms if they are already on 'modernised' terms in their current post or onto 'unmodernised' MoJ terms if they are on 'unmodernised' terms at their current post.       Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
