The Role
We’re recruiting for a Senior Project Planner here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Strategic Initiatives team.
You will form part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering a range of outcomes supporting the wider Technology Services teams. You will play a key role within the team whose deliverables include:-
- Identifying and documenting existing and future Technology, Service and Security landscapes and Strategies,
- Identifying and preparing market-ready requirements,
- The development of Business Cases,
- Supporting Commercial and Financial processes,
- Supporting Service Design and Architecture,
- The Transition of services from supplier to supplier or in-house,
- Deployment of technology or services across the MoJ estate,
- Exiting of services from incumbent suppliers,
- Tracking and reporting on Performance and Finance forecast and spending,
- Business and Stakeholder engagement and communication

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Planner, you will be accountable for supporting the delivery of a set of complex programmes, projects, products and services delivered by multiple teams or with high technical or political risk. You will be responsible for:-
- Project Planning and Controls:
- Lead the development and delivery of continual planning for programmes/projects.
- Develop and maintain an overarching programme/project plan using project planning software such as Microsoft Project.
- Apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives.
- Set and track project controls, reporting delivery against milestones.
- Delivery Management:
- Capture key deliverables, including work packages and milestones.
- Manage timescales, resource allocation, and associated dependencies.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the Programme Directors and the Project Managers.
- Assist in improvement activities within the programme management team.
- Align tasks with programme responsibilities and accountabilities.

Person Specification
Essential
- Proficiency in using project planning software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- Demonstrable experience in project planning, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and across different locations.
Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for BPSS clearance

Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 1-hour panel interview held via video conference. You will be asked to present on a topic shared one week before the interview.
